Description.

The Ply-House project is a process for designing and constructing small houses with comprehensive details. The project considered various purposes regarding the construction method and design. One of the major aims was to experience the digital construction method with a specific schedule of 16 weeks.

Brief & Idea.

The next major aim was to achieve an economical, fast, and easy construction method that could be practiced in emergency and disaster situations. Subsequently, the other challenge considered was coordinating creativity and function in dealing with the environment in different stages from design to construction.

Design Process.

The variety of the models was designed and demonstrated on a scale of 1:20, and finally, two models were selected from all the constructed models for the next phase.

Joint.

In the construction process, the prototype model was constructed with all related details, like the structure and particularly the proposed furniture, which had a dual function for the space’s beneficiary.

Experimental Model.

The construction process started with the building of an experimental model in order to the structural joints at the scale 1:5.
